Setup
Download the iso file for kali-Linux. You can download it from here
Creating virtual machine
- Open virtual box
- Click on new
- Select type as "linux" and version as "other linux(64-bit)"
- Select ram 1.00 GB
- Create virtual hard drieve -> vdi -> dynamic allocation -> 20GB
- Now go to settings of the machine
- Go to storage
- Select empty, controller:IDE and choose iso file of kali linux
- Click on ok
- Now start the machine
- Select install option using arrow keys and press enter
- Now follow the instructions
- After installation shutdown the virtual machine
- Go to storage and remove the iso file
- Now start the virtual machine
- Then you can see login screen to kali-linux, login with username as "root"
