Setup

Creating virtual machine

  • Open virtual box
  • click on new
  • select type as "linux" and version as "oracle(32-bit)"

  • select ram 512 MB
  • create virtual hard drive -> vdi -> dynamic allocation -> 20GB

  • now go to settings of the machine
  • go to storage
  • Select empty, controller:IDE and choose iso file of Tiny core linux
  • Click on ok

  • Now start the machine
  • Select the first option using arrow keys and press enter

  • Now follow the instructions
  • Select the TC install icon at the bottom of the screen which will open an installation window.Select sda and check "install boot loader" and click on the -> arrow

  • Select ext4->->Check all boxes except "core only"->Proceed

  • After installation, you will get a window as below showing that installation has been completed.Then select the TC exit option and shutdown the virtual machine

  • Go to storage and remove the iso file

  • Now start the virtual machine

  • Your Tiny core is ready to use!!!
