Free Software does not mean Free of cost software. Free Software means Mukt मुक्त Software, software which gives it's users the freedom to use, copy, modify and distribute modifications to others.
Free Software is now everywhere. Many of the popular software are actually Mukt. The Firefox Browser, VLC Media Player, Libreoffice Office Suite, GNU/Linuxes like Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc. are all free software.
COEP's FOSS Server hosts various Mukt Software services and repositories. It is the hub for various FOSS activities on the campus.
